Richard Lee Fieldhouse, 83 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10:00 am at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Toby Castleberry officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Richard was born Friday, January 2, 1942, in Hammond, Indiana. He was the son of the late William Fieldhouse and the late Hazel Kooy Fieldhouse. He married Nina Elaine Terry on March 8, 1969, in Dallas, Texas. He retired as a project engineer from Rhodia. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was a deacon, a Sunday School Teacher, a Bible study leader, and a co-sponsor of Happy Hearts.

Richard is survived by two sons, Stephen Fieldhouse & wife Mary of Vernon, Texas and Loren Fieldhouse of Houston, Texas, two grandchildren, Ragan Gonzalez & husband Luis of Wichita Falls, Texas and Ryan Fieldhouse of Vernon, Texas, and two sisters, Elaine DeVries and Audrey Carlson. Richard also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, William & Hazel Fieldhouse, his wife, Elaine Fieldhouse, and his brothers-in-law, Henry DeVries and Ed Carlson.

Visitation will be Monday, July 21, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 7:00pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorials can be given to Vernon Boys & Girls Club, Sara Peacock Scholarship at Vernon College, Calvary Baptist Church, or the Vernon Lions Booster Club.
