Robert (Robbie) Joshua Hinojosa, 27 passed away on Tuesday November 15, 2022 in Austin, Texas. Ruben and Sylvia Hinojosa had the honor of being his parents.
Robert was born on May 21st. 1995 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Robert attended Vernon schools and graduated in 2013. He attended the University of Texas and graduated with honors in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in computer engineering. Robert was employed with the Department of Veteran Affairs as a software developer.
Robert was also an accomplished musician. He received various honors during his school years including All Region, UIL and State Band. He was a member of the National Piano Guild and an honor student all through school. Robert was active in Church activities as well. Robert was a member of the Praise Band, Alter Server and an ACTS Team Leader.
Robert attended Holy Family Catholic Church. Robert enjoyed buying and rebuilding vintage stereo systems and he also guest DJ at various clubs in the Austin area. Robert loved to spend time with his friends and family. Robert will be remembered for his quick wit and loving personality.
His parents, Ruben and Sylvia, survive Robert. Two brothers, Dr. Ryan Hinojosa of Washington D.C. and Dr. Randall Hinojosa of Rochester, Minnesota. Other survivors include Grandmother, Delia Quintero, an uncle and aunt, Dr. Matt and Dr. Cheryl Quintero and uncle, Johnny Quintero all of Dallas, Texas. Grandmother Maria Greene, uncle Ruddy and Jean Hinojosa, Aunt Mary Lou Thomas, Aunt Tina & Charles Casey, Uncle Robert and Dru Hinojosa, Aunt Maria and Lalo Valdez, all of Altus Oklahoma. Aunt Angelica Hinojosa of Imokalee, Florida and several loving cousins.
Robert was preceded by grandfathers Elias Quintero and Michael Greene.
A Rosary will be held at Sullivan's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday November 21st at 6:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday November 22 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Memorials can be made to the Vernon High School Band and Holy Family Youth Group.
