Rocky Dunlap, 70 of Chillicothe, Texas died on Monday, August 30, 2021, in Vernon, Texas.

Services will be Friday, September 3, 2021 at 11:00 am at Chillicothe Pavilion, Chillicothe, TX. under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home/Smith Chapel

Rocky was born Sunday, January 21, 1951 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was the son of the late J.R. Dunlap and the late Ruby Ella McGough Dunlap He married the love of his life  Brenda Reger  on February 14, 1975 in Eliasville, TX. He was an English Major graduate from Angelo State University and received his Master's Degree in School Administration from UTPB in Odessa, TX. His years in education were as a teacher, technology administrator and he retired as a Principal after 25 years service. He was self taught in computer programming and networking, an avid reader, loved movies, had great taste in music, and was a wonderful writer. He was also a champion for the underdog in any situation as he wanted all to achieve success.  He was a Baptist by faith, but approached questions about faith soberly and seriously.

Rocky is survived by his wife Brenda Dunlap of the home his son, Jason Dunlap of San Antonio, TX, daughter, Amber Griffith of Big Spring, TX, his grandson Morgan Griffith and granddaughter Llana Griffith. Brothers, Randy Dunlap, Richard Dunlap and Roger Dunlap, sisters, Sheryl Akin, Vicki Tuggle, Dianne Cooper and Wendi Holland.
