Ronnie House, age 85, of Carrizo Springs, Texas, passed away on January 22, 2026.
Ronnie was born on March 18, 1940, in Sanderson, Texas, to Jesse Wade House and Chollis Ernest House. He spent most of his life on his family's ranch in Carrizo Springs alongside his brothers and sister, where his lifelong connection to the land and the outdoors was formed.
He attended San Marcos State College and served in the United States Army. In high school, Ronnie played basketball and was a member of his father's archaeology club, earning the nickname "Little Eagle." He especially treasured time spent with his father hunting arrowheads.
Ronnie dedicated almost 30 years of service as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service, retiring after a long career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry House.
He is survived by his daughters, Kim House Moore and Jennifer House Hughes; his grandsons, Justin Moore, Caleb Hughes, and Coby Hughes; his great-grandsons, Adrian, Liam, and Ryan Moore; his sister, Carolyn Fowler; and his brother, Richard House.
Ronnie will be remembered for his love of family, strong work ethic, and deep appreciation for the outdoors.
