Rosa Nell Johnson, 89yrs passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024 and was reunited with her beloved husband Tom.

Graveside services will be Thursday August 8, 2024 at 10:00am at Wilbarger Memorial Park with Mr. Michael White officiating under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Rosa Nell was the daughter of the late Ed & Edna Spivey in Graham TX and sister Winona Alton who preceded her in death. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Sam Houston State University 1955. She began teaching in Wichita Falls ISD 1955-56 school year where she met Tom and they moved to Olney Texas where she taught one year. She took time off to start a family and returned to a teaching career with Vernon ISD 1967 and retired May 31, 1992. When Rosa Nell wasn't teaching first graders in school, she was teaching first graders in Sunday School at First Baptist Church where she and Tom dedicated their lives to serving God, family, church and community for 50 years.

Rosa Nell is survived by her daughter, Julie and son Barry (Robin), grandchildren, Meagan, Huntley (Jaydee) Parker (Lupita), Jackson and Travis and great grandchildren Madison, Emily, Walker, Brylee, Brexley, Boston and Aubrey.

Visitation will be held Wednesday August 7, 2024 from 6-8pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
