Roy Dean Wright age 87 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in Vernon, Texas.

Services will be Friday, July 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Klappenbach officiating. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Roy Dean was born November 19, 1934 in Vernon, Texas He was the son of the late Bedford Wright and the late Johnnie Fritz Wright. He married Ilanon Grason Turner on August 6, 1954 in Vernon, Texas she preceded him in death October 16, 2017. He worked for TX DOT for 41 years, He loved his family, and he loved watching tennis. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Roy Dean is survived by his daughter Deana Lehman and Mark of Vernon, two sons Roy David Wright and Robyn of Tuscola,  and Douglas H. Wright and Johnna of Lubbock.  His grandchildren; Wes Lehman and Racha, Roy Edward Lehman and Jessica, Nick Lehman and Audra, Ryan Wright and Shelby, Reese Hovelson and Kyle, John Wright and Jordan Wright, nine great grandchildren and four on the way.

Memorials can be made to Wilbarger County Humane Society, or First Baptist Church.
