Royce Hammonds passed away on August 21, 2025, at 9:26 pm in Wichita Falls, Texas at United Regional Hospital.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel.

Royce Ivan Hammonds was born October 8, 1963, in Vernon, Texas to Fred and Gertie (Haseloff) Hammonds.

Royce attended West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas and Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. He graduated with a bachelors degree in Agriculture Science and was studying towards a Masters. He also had a Real Estate License, working for Century 21 in Austin, Texas and Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked at Lockett Texas Research Center and North Texas State Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas. His last job was working for Visiting Angels in Wichita Falls, Texas, which was his passion. He worked at various jobs but ended back on the family farm which was his greatest love. He also loved raising German Shepherd dogs. Royce was a very kindhearted person. He had a heart of gold. He Married Eugene Dixon on November 17, 2018, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

He is survived by his mate, Eugene Dixon of the home, and one brother, Roger Hammonds of Floydada, Texas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, plus his love of animals, his three dogs, Presley, Hudson, and Gigi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Gertie Hammonds, and a brother, Randy Hammonds.
