Russell Wade Haney, 64 of Vernon, Texas died on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, in Vernon, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 15, 2021  at 2:00 pm at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Russell was born Friday, September 27, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of the late Wilson Keith Haney and the late Doris Maxine Koontz  Haney. He had lived in Vernon all of his life. He was a graduate of Vernon High School 1976. He lettered in football, basketball and track attended Baylor University and Texas Tech. He was a member of First Baptist Church; J Carl Smith Sunday School Class and he was a member of the Vernon Jay Cee's. He was a computer graphics and he owned and operated a fire place store in Vernon.
