Ruth Eleen Jackson, 92 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 18, 2024, at 11:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Larry Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Ruth was born Sunday, March 13, 1932, in Vernon, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Edmond Herchman and the late Lynes Jones Herchman. She married James Wesley "Buddy" Jackson, Jr. on June 25, 1949, in Vernon, Texas. Ruth was a graduate of Vernon High School and Midwestern State University. She worked for Stein Hall, Bolton's Crown Quality, and Celanese. She retired from Vernon ISD as a Teacher's Aide working at both Shive and Central Elementaries. She was a member of Faith Methodist Church and a member of Eastern Star where she was a Past Worthy Matron.

Ruth is survived by two daughters, Jyme Baker & husband Casey of Porter, Texas and Jan Baumann & husband Mike of Vernon, Texas; six grandchildren, Kym Baker & wife Tiffany, Jynefer Stroud & husband Alvin, Scott Baker & wife Jaime, Royce Baumann, Rickey Baumann, and Lyndsey Higham & husband Andrew; sixteen great grandchildren, Tyler, Tayler, Tayte, Trayce, Jacksyn, Emri, Payzlea, Ciara, Kree, Chaelyn, Krystalyn, Brenee, Tori, Destini, Seth, and Damon, and three great-great grandchildren, Gideon, Waylon, and Soleil. Ruth also leaves behind two sisters, Sherry Wright of Crowell, Texas and Lavon Sneed of Garland, Texas.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Jackson; her sister, Diane Everson; her brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Bill & Frances Jackson; her brother-in-law, Gary Sneed, and by two nephews, Ryan Everson and Randy Jackson.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls or a favorite charity.
