Sandra Kaye Brown - Rice, affectionately known as Sparky, was born on December 13, 1950, in Durant, Oklahoma, to Paul (Coach) and Mary lee Brown, both of whom have preceded her in death. Sparky passed away peacefully, surrounded by love and cherished memories.

Sparky is survived by her beloved twin sister, Pamela Parsons, and her siblings: Tommy Brown, Rose Ann Brown, and Dixie Shope, along with her husband James. She was a devoted widow to Ed Rice and is remembered by her daughter, Dusty Davis, and her late son, Justin Steadham. Sparky's legacy continues through her granddaughter and her three great-granddaughters, who called her "Nanny."

Sparky had a special bond with the healthcare team at Advanced Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Vernon, Texas, specifically Administrator, Jill Vianco. Her vibrant personality drew them in, and she loved to share her educational background and experiences. She was never shy about expressing her opinions and made her views known with candor. The love and respect they showed her, along with the exceptional care they provided, did not go unnoticed by her family, and Sparky greatly appreciated it.

She is also survived by three living nieces, five living nephews, and sixteen great-nieces and nephews, as well as numerous maternal and paternal cousins. Her only living maternal aunt, Dana Booker, holds a special place in the hearts of the family.

Sparky was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her, and her warmth, humor, and kindness will be greatly missed. Services are pending at this time, and further details will be shared with family and friends.
