Sandra Gayle Thompson, 75 of Apache Junction, Arizona passed away in her home earlier this spring on March 4, 2025.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:00 am at Wilbarger Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Sandi was born August 3, 1949, to the late James Claude Thompson & the late Ava Marie Crites Thompson Smith.  Sandi married her lifelong friend & partner, Margaret Lynne Bushee Thompson in July 2012.

Sandi left Vernon & the state of Texas at a young age as a nanny when she relocated to Arizona. Sandi quickly fell in love with the state of Arizona & spent the rest of her life as a proud "Zonie".  Before moving to Arizona, she was a barrel racer.  Later in life Sandi made one of kind Indian jewelry, was a photographer, a Dean of Girls at a prestigious private school & worked for the mega telecommunications company MCI.

Sandi was preceded in death by her wife, Lynne Bushee Thompson, sister, Claudette Thompson Bristo & nephew, Jerry Bob Bristo.  She is survived by her brother, Jimmy Thompson, of Flower Mound, TX, sister, Melba Thompson Irvin of Lubbock, TX, nieces Robbin Bristo Gesch, Stephany Clarida, Leslie Thompson Bain & Gwen Thompson, nephews Allen Clarida & Scott Thompson, 9 great nieces & nephews & 7 great-great nieces & nephews.  She was also survived by her beloved fur baby, Katie who was her faithful companion until her final day.

Sandi loved, cherished & spoiled all her four-legged babies over the years.  Therefore, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local animal shelter, animal rescue or the ASPCA.
