Sonja Walsch, 74 of Vernon, Texas died on Monday, February 7, 2022, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Services will be Friday, February 11, 2022 at 10:00 am at First United Methodist Church under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Officiating will be  Rev. Anthony Inmon.

Sonja was born Wednesday, April 2, 1947,  in Babenhausen, Germany. She was the daughter of the late Balzer Grimm and the late Dora Tuber  Grimm. She married Don Walsch on March 4, 1975 in Vernon. Sonja moved to Texas in 1969 from Germany. She loved music, and she was a collector of many things. She was Supervisor for Housekeeping at Vernon State Hospital. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Sonja is survived by her husband Don Walsch of the home.  two daughters, Michelle Chavis-Moore (Tim Newton) of Vernon, TX and Stephanie Walsch of Vernon, TX. her step-children Kathy, Donnie, Tommy. Five grandchildren Lindsi Hord, Tyler McNairy, Russell Benson, Rikki Kelly, and Brittany Grimm. Five great grandchildren Malachi, Jaxon, Elijah, Tristan, and Lucas.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
