Starr Elizabeth Lowry, 67 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Starr was born Wednesday, April 24, 1957, in Waynesville, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Bert Crane and the late Shirley Graves Crane. She worked for the Vernon State Hospital for many years. She also worked at Gibson's Discount Center and United Supermarket in the Meat Market. She loved plants and gardening, and she loved family trips to Missouri.

Starr is survived by four daughters, Katie Nail, Misty Guiterrez, Tara Peterson and Natisha Thomas all of Vernon, Texas, two brothers, Fred Crane of Wichita Falls, Texas and Larry Crane of Vernon, Texas, and two sisters, Tammi Parrot of Davis, Oklahoma and Terri Hall of Chillicothe, Texas. Starr also leaves behind twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Starr is preceded in death by both of her parents and by her sister, Willena Crane.
