Stephen Ray Haire, 67 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be scheduled at a later date.

Stephen was born Saturday, August 7, 1957, in Vernon, Texas. He was the son of the late M.T. Haire, Jr. and the late Geneva Werley Haire. He was a self-employed painter and contractor all his life.

Stephen is survived by his life partner, Rita Neel of the home; three sons, Michael Hester of Snyder, Texas, Nicholas Hester of Vernon, Texas and Telem Hester of Vernon, Texas; three daughters, Cortney Hester, Heather Bohannon of Burkburnett, Texas and Diane Emert of Wichita Falls, Texas; one step daughter, Kalynn Jackson of Vernon, Texas; one brother, Dennis Haire of Vernon, Texas, and his aunt, Carolyn Thompson of Crowell, Texas. Stephen also leaves behind four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two nephews, Shaun Haire and Jacob Haire both of Vernon, Texas, and his cousin, Patsy Scott of Chillicothe, Texas.
