Tamia Ny'Rai Thomas, 19 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023, in Vernon, Texas.

Services will be Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Early Williams and Rev. Robert Thomas officiating.

Tamia was born Monday, August 4, 2003, in Wichita Falls ,Texas.  She was the daughter of Cheston Thomas of Vernon, Texas and Aneashia Coleman of Wichita Falls, Texas, and bonus parents including Misty Ware of Quanah, Texas and Isaac Heuss of Wichita Falls, Texas.  Tamia graduated from City View High School in 2021 and attended Vernon College, Tamia was  continuing to pursue her dreams as a Registered Nurse.

Tamia is survived by her father, Cheston Thomas and bonus mom, Misty Ware; mother, Aneashia Coleman and bonus father, Isaac Heuss; grandparents, Patricia Combs, Anita Thomas, Willie King, Carl Venerable, Sr. & wife Migda, Wendell Venerable, and Jimmie Ware, Sr.; brothers and sisters, Rashontrel Carter, Ozlyn Moore, Rayah Coleman, Tyonah Coleman, Issac Heuss, Jr., Lexie Brown, Kennedy Thomas, Emiya Sample, Chezleigh Thomas, Jenzen Rivera, Xavier Thomas, Akeylan Thomas, and Braylon Nava; aunts, Dominique Thomas, Tia Embers, Donna Gomez, Stacy Venerable, Shannon Young and Brittany Owens; uncles, Letrionne Scott, Tristan Young, Carl Venerable, and Jimmie Ware, Jr.and David Gomez.  She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and family.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
