Tanya Kay Goss, 65 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Johnson officiating. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Tanya was born Saturday, August 25, 1956 in Nutrioso, Arizona, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Whitmire and the late Delores Williams Whitmire. She married Dennis Goss on September 3, 1981 in Albany, Texas. She attended school in Breckenridge, Texas. She was a homemaker.

Tanya is survived by her husband Dennis Goss of the home. Three  daughters, Debbie Boggs Herod of Breckenridge, TX., Heather Goss Valverde and husband Mickey of Vernon, TX, and Lacey Goss Elliott and (Dillan) of Borger, TX, two step-daughters Jennifer Crawford  and (Steven) and Christy Goss. Two brothers, Seth Whitmire of Clyde, TX and Delwin Whitmire of CA. Her special aunt Joyce Gray of Breckenridge, TX,  her grandchildren: Samantha Chezem, Taylor Gonzales, Devon Herod, Rylea Elliott, Mackenzie Elliott, Brianna Elliott, Malyson Valverde, Micheal Valverde, Dylan Goss, Danielle Thornhill, Matthew Sanders, Courtney Overman, Kaitlyn Hardy, and Faith Autrey. Along with numerous great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Delores Whitmire ,grandparents J.B. and Christene Hayes, and a brother Richard Whitmire.

Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2022 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
