Theodore "Ted" Lee Turner, 58 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Ric Rosalez officiating. Burial will follow at Bell Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Ted was born Monday, August 8, 1966, in San Antonio, Texas. He was the son of the late Clifford Lee Turner and Vinell Fritsche Turner. He graduated from Vernon High School and then he graduated from Midwestern State University with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. He spent the last seven years working as the head groundskeeper for Hillcrest Country Club. Ted loved to play disc golf and enjoyed cycling, especially in the "Hotter 'N Hell Hundred" in Wichita Falls. He enjoyed coaching and playing baseball, but most of all, he loved being a father. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Ted is survived by his mother, Vinell Turner; two sons, Matthew Turner and Max Turner both of Wichita Falls, Texas, along with the mother of his children, Amy Turner; one sister, Elizabeth Turner of Lewisville, Texas; three uncles, Don Fritsche & wife Margaret of Burkburnett, Texas, Ricky Fritsche & wife Trish of Lake Whitney, Texas and Don "Dude" Turner & wife Joyce of Ingleside, Texas, and one nephew, Beau Harris.

Ted is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Turner in 2017, his maternal grandparents, Ted & Gertrude Fritsche, and paternal grandparents, Lee & Rosie Turner.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 6:00pm until 7:00pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorials can be given to the Hillcrest Country Club or the Vernon Lions Club.
