Travis Weldon Maddin, 87 of Forney, Texas died on Saturday, October 21, 2023, in Forney, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 11:00 am at Odell Baptist Church in Odell, Texas with Dr. Derrell Monday officiating. Burial will follow at Bell Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Travis was born Saturday, October 10, 1936, in Wilbarger County, Texas. He was the son of the late Charles Maddin and the late Etta Maddin. He married Mary Neel on June 17, 1957. He graduated from Vernon High School in 1955 and then attended Midwestern State University.

Travis is survived by his wife, Mary Maddin of the home; two daughters, Brenda Sikes & husband Russell and Lisa Hale & husband Tim; three brothers, Neal Maddin, Keith Maddin and Charles Maddin, Jr., and seven grandchildren, Stephanie Garza, Crystal Tosh, Jessica Freberia, Jonathan Estrada, Justin Hale, Cynthia Creager, and Jordan Sikes. Travis also leaves behind fourteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Travis is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Etta Maddin, and his great granddaughter Alysia Green.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Odell Baptist Church from 10:30 am until the service begins.
