Tyler "Ty" Lane Gibson, 33, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025

Funeral services will be held Monday February 3, 2025, at 11:00am at the Western Trail Cowboy Church with Pastor Luke Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at the Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Ty was born February 14, 1991, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Roy Gibson and Becky Drennan Gibson. He started at the young age of four going with his father on the Waggoner Ranch, riding calves in the branding pen, and holding his own at the spring and fall brandings. His favorite horse was Partner.

He was a proud graduate of Vernon High School and actively attended and followed Vernon Lion sporting events and would offer his input when the opportunity arose. Ty enjoyed football, basketball and baseball and had a passion for coaching.  He enjoyed coaching his daughters, Milli and Brynlee, as well as his niece and nephew.

Ty drove for UPS for over ten years, and while he loved delivering to his regulars, especially when they left him treats, he wasn't a fan of online shopping and encouraged people to go out and shop in person.

Ty had a soft heart and an old soul. He liked following traditions he had grown up with throughout his life.  He valued Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations at Gandy's and Mimi's house where he always managed to get his favorite pie.  Ty attended Angelo State University and Texas Tech University. Ty made so many friends along the way and truly cherished each of the friendships. Ty and his family were members of the Western Trail Cowboy Church.

Ty is survived by his parents Roy and Becky Gibson, two daughters Milli Holly and Brynlee Gibson (mother Jennifer Gibson), one sister Amanda Lehman and husband Travis, niece and nephew Trista Lehman and Austin Lehman, aunts and uncles: Steve and Donna Drennan, Shelly and Kevin Marshall, Pat Elliott, and Bonnie Gilbert, along with numerous cousins.

Ty is proceeded in death by his grandparents Billy George and Sharlene Drennan and Doris Eiland.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00-5:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Memorial can be made to the Boys and Girls Club Athletics.
