Tyler Rogers (b. February 10, 1986) died unexpectedly in Nashville, TN on April 14, 2024 at the age of 38. Tyler struggled with type 1 diabetes for many years, resulting in a recent hospitalization. However, the day before his passing, Tyler was feeling healthy and was in good spirits; he connected with friends and shared a hopeful outlook before peacefully passing in his sleep. Tyler is survived by his mother, Kim Rogers; sister, Kaylee Rogers; brother, Kolby Rogers; and his beloved nieces, Brelynn and Ryleigh; as well as extended family and community of friends who became his chosen family all across the US, but especially in Nashville, TN and Los Angeles, CA.

Tyler Rogers grew up in Vernon, Texas and graduated from Vernon High School in 2004. Just after High School, Tyler left home to pursue a successful career in graphic and web design and development in both Nashville, TN and in Los Angeles, CA. Through the years, Tyler worked with artists at the top of the industry in Christian music, country, and mainstream pop. He also designed assets for innumerable small businesses. Tyler's ability to create compelling visual narratives, logos, and images paired with seamless web design was unparalleled.

Tyler was a strong advocate for mental health awareness, bravely sharing his struggles with anxiety and depression, and advocating for those who suffered in silence. Upon receiving his type 1 diabetes diagnosis, Tyler became vocal about his experience, raising awareness and sharing the realities of living with the disease that did eventually take his life.

Tyler appreciated art in all its forms, but was especially a fan of music, like Britney Spears, Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Spice Girls, for King and Country (also his family) and so many others. He also truly loved Disney — Disneyland, Disney World, Mickey — truly anything Disney would make him smile, even on his worst days. Some of his best memories were taking his family and friends to the parks to experience it through his eyes, a gift he gave so many of us. Art was a respite for Tyler; it was his job, but it was so much more. It was an outlet, a way to connect, and a means to experience the world on his own terms.

Tyler was exceptionally talented, caring, and thoughtful. He went out of his way to help others, expecting nothing in return. Tyler enjoyed being of service, and was known as the person who would "save the day."

Tyler's beloved nieces are his lasting legacy—he cared for them endlessly and believed that they would grow up to conquer the world and achieve their brightest dreams. His family, friends, and community will miss him dearly; our lives will never be the same without his humor, creativity, and joy.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ric Rosalez officiating.
