Victor R. Casarez, 73 of Vernon, Texas died on Saturday, November 13, 2021,  in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Mass service will be Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 10:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Phil Petta officiating. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Victor was born Tuesday, June 15, 1948 in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of the late Severiano Casarez and the late Cresencia Rodriguez Casarez. He married Elsa Lira on April 24, 1971 in Vernon, Texas. He started working for Wright Packing and then retired from Tysons Foods after thirty years in the sanitation dept. He had worked at Pioneer Seed Plant in Lockett, Texas, and Vernon Manufacturing Company. He operated the chains crew for the Northside Football Games. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Victor is survived by his wife Elsa of the home. two sons, Victor Casarez of Vernon, TX and Chris Casarez of Vernon, TX, daughter, Jovita Fernandez of Vernon, TX, brother, Joe Casarez of Houston, TX, sisters, Susie Abbey of Copperas Cove, TX, Maria Hopper of Weatherford, TX, Herlinda Casarez of Palmdale, CA and Stephanie Luna of Lubbock, TX. Eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son Roman Casarez in 2002.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 6:00 pm and a Rosary will follow after at 7:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
