Victor Overby passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023.  Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Friday, February 10th at Smith Funeral Home in Quanah. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 11 ^th at Sullivan Funeral Home in Vernon.

Victor Glen Overby was born July 1, 1957, in Iraan, Texas to Joe Clint and Margaret Ann Lee Overby. He married Jean Ann Dodson on September 17, 2009. He loved MOPAR muscle cars and his grandkids.  Victor worked at Georgia Pacific for more than 20 years and sold cars for Vernon Auto Group. He served his county in the U.S. Navy and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Ann Overby of Quanah; 2 sons, Allen Overby  & wife Heather of Vernon, and Benton Overby & wife Amanda of Abilene; a daughter, Brandi Petrus of Ft. Worth; his mother, Margaret Overby of Vernon; 1 brother, Mike Overby (Kim) of Burkburnett; a sister, Debbie Lane of Vernon; 10 grandchildren, Coen, Quintin, Megan, Chanie, Talon, Kannon, Preston, Caydence, Peyton, and Phoenix; and a great grandson arriving soon. Victor also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.

Victor was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Randy Overby.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
