Wanza Ercelle Smith  Howell, 92 of Vernon, Texas died on Sunday, November 14, 2021, in Vernon, Texas.

Services will be Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Terry Tamplin.  Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Wanza was born Friday, February 22, 1929 in Red River County, Texas, she was the daughter of the late John Barry Smith  and the late  Florence Ethel Smith. She married Kelcy Lewis Howell on May 25, 1946 in Hugo, OK. he preceded her in death in 2008. She was a retired from North Texas State Hospital Nursing Service and Vernon Care Center after several years of service. and she worked Vernon Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her sons, Roy Howell of Vernon, TX and Eddie Howell (Debbie) of Oklaunion, TX, daughters, Sandra McCrary of Vernon, TX, Judy Fennell of Vernon, TX and Donna King of Vernon, TX. Grandchildren; Nicole Feltman (Shawn), of Vernon, Texas,  Melissa Boland (Randy) of Vernon, Texas, Lee Ann Cuevas (Carlos) of Yuma, AZ., Joseph Howell of Wichita Falls, Texas, April Beam (Justin) of Iowa Park, Texas, John York (Susan) of St. Peters, MO., Tammy Crook (Scott) of Orange, Texas, Bobby Jack Fennell, Jr. (Pam) of Vernon, Texas, Keith Wilkinson (Jen) of Benbrook, Texas, Cody King (Laura) of Howe, Texas, LaDonna Nava of Vernon, Texas, Ashley Morton of Vernon, Texas, Brandy Wilkinson (Regina) of Vernon, Texas. Numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
