William Wesley "Will" Hurt, 68 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Will was born Saturday, April 16, 1955, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was the son of the late Ewin Hurt and the late Juanita Pearcy Hurt. He married Jamie Ruffin on October 8, 2002, in Estes Park, Colorado. Will retired after twenty years as a nurse in the U.S. Army.  While in the army he served two tours of duty in Germany, and then was an Instructor of Nursing at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. He also worked for Tyson Foods from 2005 until 2020 as an Occupational Health Nurse.  He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. Will was the most amazing father and husband.

Will is survived by his wife, Jamie Hurt of the home; two sons, William Hurt of Cypress, Texas, and Adam Osterholm of La Place, Louisiana; two daughters, Kandice Miller of Hockley, Texas,  and Jessica Hurt of Magnolia, Texas, and three sisters, Kay, Melba, and Norma. Will also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Brittany, Caden, Austin, Heidi, Hailey, Trista, Maddie, Addie, Emmy, and Nolan, and one great grandchild, Miabella.
