Willie Paul Greening, 69 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in Vernon, Texas.

A private family service will be scheduled at a later date.

Willie was born Monday, October 12, 1953, in Vernon, Texas. He was the son of the late Charles Edwin Greening and the late Reba Evelyn Messick Greening. He married Laurie Louise Walker on September 10, 1971, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Willie was an oil field worker and worked as a contract pumper for over forty-five years. He was a member of Faith Village Church of Christ.

Willie is survived by his wife, Laurie Greening of the home; two sons, Chad Greening & wife Candy of Amarillo, Texas and Joe Willie Greening of Denton, Texas; two daughters, Heather Gillespie & Benny Barnett of Vernon, Texas and Crystal Maldonado & husband Josh of Vernon, Texas; eleven grandchildren, Conner, Collin, Madelynn, Gage, Willie, Jade, Corbyn, Malaree, Mylee, Madison, and Brody, and one great grandchild, Lane. Willie also leaves behind two brothers, Harvey Greening of Amarillo, Texas and Greg Greening of Vernon, Texas.

Willie is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Greening; his sister, Barbara Edwards, and his grandson, Caleb Gillespie.
