Wilmer Wade Horn, 81 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 11:00 am at Chillicothe Cemetery in Chillicothe, Texas under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home with Mr. Heath Ramsey officiating.

Wade was born Friday, October 10, 1941 in Chillicothe, Texas. He was the son of the late Elton Horn and the late Maudie Carter Horn. He married Nita Mae Pickrel on May 12, 1962. Nita passed away February 11, 2009. Wade was a graduate of Odell School. He graduated from Barber School in Dallas, Texas, and worked for Kraft Foods while in Dallas.  He moved to Chillicothe, Texas and worked at Lake Pauline for WTU until it closed. He then transferred to the Oklaunion Power Plant where he retired. Wade went back to work as a full time Barber in his shop next to his home in Chillicothe until he retired in 2014. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe.

Wade is survived by sons, Timothy Alan Horn & wife Damaris of Vernon, Texas and Jeffrey Wade Horn & wife Christine of Macclenny, Florida; brother, Keith Horn of Chillicothe, Texas; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Wade is preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Dianne Horn on February 16, 2021.

Visitation will be Monday, January 16, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
