Obituary

Yvonna Lea Brown, 65 of Harrold, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Decatur, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church with Dr. Derrell Monday and Dr. Don Howe officiating. Burial will follow at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Yvonna was born Thursday, July 23, 1959, in Brookhaven, Mississippi. She was the daughter of the late Max Rozzell and the late Mary Lou Polly Rozzell. She married Alan Brown on March 17, 1990, in Vernon, Texas at the First Baptist Church. She worked at the Herring National Bank. She loved summer vacations with her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for thirty three years and served on several church committees. She also loved serving in their Easter Pageant.

Yvonna is survived by her husband, Alan Brown of the home, one son, Andrew Brown of Harrold, Texas, one daughter, Stephanie Wilson & husband Joe Don of Vernon, Texas, and one sister, Debbie Howe & husband Don of Mansfield, Texas. Yvonna also leaves behind two grandchildren, Baylea Gillespie & husband Blaine and Luke Gower, two great grandchildren, Birdie and Boone, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Yvonna is preceded in death by her brother, Gary Rozzell.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church Children's Department or First Baptist Church Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes.
