Zenon Guerra Lozano, Jr., 96 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025, in Vernon, Texas.
Funeral mass services will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church with Father Phil Petta officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Zenon was born Thursday, June 27, 1929, in Electra, Texas. He was the son of the late Zenon Lozano, Sr. and the late Natividad Torres Lozano. He married Dovie Lopez on December 31, 1949, in Vernon, Texas. He and his wife Dovie owned and operated Lozano's Used Clothing Store and Lozano Feed and Seed Store. He also worked in the Herring Bank Building for twenty years doing maintenance and elevator operations and for West Texas Utilities for twenty-two years. He loved working hard from mowing yards to cleaning offices. He often volunteered at the USSV. Zenon loved going to the casino, but most of all he loved his family, his children, and his grandchildren. He was a member of the Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church.
Zenon is survived by three daughters, Mary Ramirez, Laurie Alston and Debra Rosales all of Vernon, Texas, three sons, Billy Joe Lozano of Kerrville, Texas, Steven Lozano of Vernon, Texas and Zenon Lozano, III of Vernon, Texas. Zenon also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Zenon is preceded in death by his wife, Dovie Lozano, his three brothers, Joe Lozano, Jessie Lozano and Martin Lozano, his sister, Norma Mendrano, his grandson, Chase Alston, and his great grandson, Kian Lozano.
A rosary will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel at 6:00 pm followed by a visitation from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm.
Memorials can be made to Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
