Obituary

Zora Alice Lee, 99, of Vernon, Texas died on Saturday, November 26, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Christopher Lee and Rev. Anthony Inmon officiating.  Interment will be at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Zora was born Tuesday, October 23, 1923 in Mexia, Texas.  She was the daughter of the late Buell Howeth, Sr.  and the late Alice Best Howeth. She married William Arnold Lee in Vernon, Texas on July 20, 1954. Zora was a member of First United Methodist Church and attended Amigos Sunday School Class.  She taught Vacation Bible School.  She volunteered with the quilting group and at the USSV.  Zora was a very talented seamstress and was very artistic.  She also received an award from the Salvation Army for being the oldest bell ringer.

Zora is survived by son, Alben Lee of Vernon, TX, daughters, Belinda Alberry of Vernon, TX and Elizabeth Von Tungeln of Vernon, TX; five grandchildren, Christopher Lee, Jonathan Lee, Jada Rankin, Cale Von Tungeln, and Melody O'Dell, and ten great-grandchildren.

Zora is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and bothers, Buell Howeth, Jr., Tandy Howeth, Huron Howeth, and John Howeth.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 29, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
