Additional Services
Memorial Services
Memorial Services are the same as a traditional service, except the body is not present for the visitation or funeral.
Traditional Ship-Out
Traditional Ship-Out allows you to select the type of services and merchandise for local arrangements and then the remains are shipped out of town for final services.
Ship-In Services
Ship-In Services are available for families that would like for Sullivan Funeral Home to conduct final services.
Direct Burial
A service for those who want only a ground burial, without visitation or services. This service is provided at the convenience of the funeral home and cemetery.
Direct Ship-Out
This is when there are to be no local services, and the remains are to be shipped to a funeral home out of town.
Direct Cremation
Direct Cremation is for those who wish the remains cremated without services. (A container for the body is required by the local crematory)
It is a standard service for Sullivan Funeral Home to obtain certified copies of the death certificate for the family. We will help families determine how many copies of the death certificate will be appropriate; all families will have different amounts of personal business to tend to.
Online Memorials
We can set up an online memorial for your loved one. Our online memorials provide information for guests about the funeral services and also provide a tribute to your loved one. Guests will be able to gain information about dates, times, and locations of funeral services. Guests will also be able to order flowers, make donations, and sign a guest book through the memorial. The family will have access to the memorial to add photos to create a photo gallery for their loved one. By providing information to guests about services, our online memorials help lessen the load on a family during a difficult time. The memorials also serve to pay tribute to your family's loved one.
Obituaries
We will prepare an obituary to be published for your loved one in the newspapers of your choice.
Veteran's Benefits
We will help you secure your potential veterans benefits, such as burial flags, government markers, a memorial certificate, and a burial plot.
Social Security
We will notify the Social Security Administration of the death. We will explain and help you apply for any benefits you may be entitled to through Social Security.
After Care
Sometimes the loss of a loved one can be especially painful. We understand that the grieving process does not end with the funeral. We are here not only to help arrange the funeral, but to help families cope with the loss of their loved one. There is a wide variety of grief resources available and we will help to point you in the right direction and begin the healing process.
